Job Summary and Qualifications
The Supply Chain Ambulatory Surgery Center Internal Control Coordinator (ASCICC) is responsible for building, implementing, and maintaining all supply chain system functions related to Preference Cards. Directly responsible for maintaining Preference cards and the Tables with respect to supplies at the division level. Clearly communicates changes and aids with education of appropriate personnel in regards to preference card supply changes and new supply items. In addition, this position works closely with the facility staff, and the Supply Chain Vice President of Operations to improve data integrity, and the accuracy and efficiency of the preference card change process. Supports the Supply Chain clinical resources in margin improvement efforts. Supports case costing efforts and reporting.
What you will do in this role:
Building Strategic Work Relationships
- Proactively develops and manages relationships with key facility stakeholders, including the Clinical leadership teams, Administrators, and physicians.
- Gains agreement and buy-in from key facility stakeholders to support ideas and takes action
- Establishes positive interpersonal relationships with Center Leadership, Division Leaders, and Division Supply Chain teams.
- Establishes collaborative relationships with the Clinical staff, Regional Materials Manager, and Clinical Resource Director, Clinical Team Leads and other strategic partners
Building Culture
- Supports building a customer focused culture that aligns with core HCA values
- Models open communication and encourages others to provide feedback to improve service
- Encourages creative thought leadership
Planning, Organizing, and Managing Work
- Develops daily schedules to ensure that Preference card changes are completed within 48 hours
- Identifies opportunities to improve processes as part of a continuous improvement model
- Effectively uses time and maintains focus on core responsibilities and work completion
Supply Expense Management
- Works closely with the CRD to ensure that items added/deleted/replaced from the preference card are appropriate based on product utilization
- Works on OR systems to ensure data integrity is continuously improved and maintained · Contributes to the Supply Expense Plan regarding OR margin improvement opportunities as appropriate
- Responsible for managing the implementation, cleanup and optimization of the Supply, Equipment and Instrument Inventory Tables on Physician Preference cards.
- Clean up and maintenance of O.R. Inventory Tables, including building all supply items, entering all new supply items into the OR system and requesting new supply items.
- Maintains crosswalk and other master file synchronization between OR System and SMART system.
- Works on all Supply conversions to ensure that the preference cards are updated in a timely manner.
- Collaborate regularly with the facility Clinical leadership, Supply Chain leadership, the division CRD and RMM, and other stakeholders on OR initiatives.
- Builds and maintains relationships with key surgical vendors, as needed, holding them accountable to supply chain policies and procedures.
- Reviews SMART data export and provides updates/clarification to supply chain team. Uploads modified data into the OR system and verifies accuracy.
- Maintains effective communication with customers, CRDs, Nurses, Clinical leadership and the facility management team
What is needed for this role:
- Graduate from Surgical Technology Program and/or college degree or clinical training- Preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical/materials experience- Required
- Specific Operating Room/Surgical Services experience- Preferred
