Activities Aide
Job Summary:
Join our dynamic activities team at Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 117-bed skilled nursing facility owned and operated by Salter Healthcare since 1976. As an Activities Aide, you will play a vital role in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events to meet the unique needs of our residents. Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events to meet the needs of residents
Support, encourage, and motivate residents to attend activities
Transport residents to and from activities as needed
Accompany residents to special events and trips outside the facility
Facilitate activities and remain aware of all residents at all times
Clean up after each activity and prepare for the next one
Assemble, dismantle, and store equipment and supplies used in the recreation program
Communicate with families as necessary and encourage their involvement
Requirements:
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience and demonstrated interest in working with seniors preferred
Must be able to work hours/rotation as described above
