The Network Security Engineer III is responsible for the configuration, optimization, and maintenance of Cisco Identity
Services Engine (ISE). This position is a part of the technical operation center (TOC) and integrates closely with the
security operations team. This position provides Cisco ISE enterprise services including, but not limited to: design,
implementation, posturing, profiling, patching, software upgrades and incident response. This position is the escalation
point for all Cisco ISE related incidents and changes.
The Network Security Engineer III must be a Cisco ISE subject matter expert in network firewalls, intrusion
detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanning, anti-malware and spam protection, and secure data transmission
• Escalation point for ISE incidents and complex changes
• Work with SOC to investigate and respond to security incidents
• Recommend changes to standard processes and operating procedures
• Provide support in ensuring security infrastructure is kept up to date with the latest versions
• Assist with security policy reviews, configuration standards, and 3rd-party audits
• Develop standard operating procedures
• Maintain overall documentation of live environment
• Coordinates efforts to isolate and resolve network and security-related issues
Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems (or related field) or equivalent experience. Relevant experience (min. of 3 years) may be substituted for educational requirements
Required Minimum Experience: 5 to 8 years in Information Technology Required
Minimum Skills: Cisco ACS RADIUS and TACACS experience, Private Key Infrastructure (PKI) / Certificate Authority knowledge, solid experience with designing and deploying security solutions for Network Access Control as well as experience with Firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, DDoS, and Malware inspections solutions
Required Minimum Certifications: One (or more) of the following security certifications: Palo Alto PCNSE, CCNP Security preferred
