Responsibilities


This position reports to the AVP of the Behavioral Health Service Line. The Director of the Behavioral Health Service Line will be responsible for identifying and coordinating quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives related to the Behavioral Health Resource Team, Behavioral Health Assessment and Resource Center and the Suicide Prevention Program.


The Director of the Behavioral Health Service Line will be responsible for:
o Assuring quality performance through a refined set of key performance measures
o Development and standardization of assessment and referral protocols to reduce variation in processes, quality, and safety
o Identification and implementation of methods to improve efficiency
o Coordinating partnerships and outpatient resources to meet the unique needs of the behavioral health population served across Wellstar submarkets
o Development of relationships and collaboration with hospital administrators and operational leaders to ensure the Service Line is achieving goals and KPIs


The Director will also be accountable for the development of policies and procedures aligned with Joint Commission requirements, financial stewardship and budget planning, programmatic and quality performance, patient safety initiatives, fostering patient and employee satisfaction, and assuring continuous quality improvement and outcome excellence.


Qualifications


Required Minimum Education: Master’s degree required. Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or similar behavioral or social science related field strongly preferred.


Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, (LMFT) or Licensed Psychologist (PhD/LP)


Required Minimum Experience: The successful candidate will have at least five (5) years of operational, supervisory and leadership experience, of which no less than three (3) years should be specific to leading behavioral health teams/programs.

 

Required Minimum Skills:
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop collaborative working relationships with individuals representing a broad range of sectors.
• Ability to manage resources and coordinate across cross functional areas.
• Ability to establish detailed plans and meet deadlines set by Behavioral Health Service Line leadership
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and apply data and other pertinent information to achieve program goals
• Ability to establish short-and long-term program goals and direct the annual budget process.
