Description

WELLBOUND is actively seeking Physical Therapist Assistants to provide care for pediatric and adult clients with special needs in their home environments across all five boroughs and Long Island.

Compensation

$55.00 - $70.00 per day

Duties

  • Support clients with fine, gross, and visual motor skills.

  • Assist with sensory and emotional regulation, cognition, and activities of daily living (ADLs).

  • Provide effective and timely communication with clients and team members.

  • Educate and train caregivers (e.g., Home Health Aides) to ensure skill carryover.

  • Complete documentation in a timely and professional manner.

  • Travel to multiple locations within your assigned region.

Qualifications

  • A valid New York State PTA License (required).

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience required

  • Proficiency in outpatient therapy techniques and home health practices.

  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and geriatrics to effectively treat diverse populations.

  • Experience working in clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

  • Ability to develop rapport with patients while demonstrating empathy and patience.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently while ensuring quality care.
