GENERAL SUMMARY

Coordinates the activities of the Oncology Clinical Information Center and other departmental initiatives, including compliance with accreditation standards and committee meetings.  Manages the delivery of high quality data from case analyzation, data abstraction, and database management from multiple clinical databases.  Ensures consistency, accuracy, and adherence to state regulations, good clinical practice, and good clinical data management.   Supervises Oncology Data Analysts and provides departmental in-service education and/or training .  Responsible for assigned statistical reports to staff, physicians, and administration. 

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in health-related field is preferred.  

EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years relevant experience in a hospital, state, or free standing cancer registry or equivalent oncology related data collection activity. Strong computer literacy including command of Microsoft office suite (PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Word, etc).  Proficiency with cancer registry data base applications. Strong customer service skills including effective verbal, written and graphical communications. Ability to multi-task and meet established deadlines.

Required Certification, Registration, and/or Licensure: Certification as Tumor Registrar (CTR) is required.
