As a Senior Wealth Advisor within Vanguard's Personal Investor, Wealth Management, you will develop tailored strategies that will help our Ultra High Net Worth clients achieve their unique financial goals. You will provide advice using ongoing portfolio management solutions targeting clients and prospects with portfolios of $5-15M in investable assets using Vanguard products and the fullest expression of our wealth management offer.

Responsibilities

Senior Wealth Advisors onboard clients and manage a book of business which can include high-profile, and influential individuals and families. By communicating Vanguard’s investment philosophy and making recommendations that consider client suitability, risk tolerance, appropriate saving/spending strategies, Senior Wealth Advisors give our clients the best chance for investment success by providing financial planning solutions using our time-tested research and investment methodology.

Senior Wealth Advisors work in a collaborative team environment, partnering with internal resources to serve client needs and goals related to investment advice, tax strategies, legacy & estate planning, philanthropic giving, and corporate trust services. They also manage trusts, both as an investment manager and as a trustee, in partnership with internal Trust Administrators.

As experts in the advice space, Senior Wealth Advisors continually promote continuous professional development by maintaining an advanced understanding of financial planning, capital markets and the financial industry and are willing to coach and support their peers.

Qualifications:

  • CFP® designation required. Additional certifications such as the CFA, CTFA or CPA preferred.
  • This job requires a Series 7, 63 or 66 regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC) or ability to acquire within 3 months of assuming role. These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.
  • Seven+ years of advisory experience specifically in financial planning, book of business management and relationship management.
  • Proven experience managing a book of business with a track record of client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Experience applying trust and estate planning knowledge to help preserve client’s wealth.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial planning, investment strategies, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong executive presence when interacting with clients and representing Vanguard at conferences and/or client visits

Considerations

  • Occasional travel may be required to Vanguard clients, sites, or local/national professional conferences.
  • Relocation is available to those who qualify.
  • This role follows a hybrid working model. We are in the office Tuesday-Thursday and work remotely Monday & Friday.
