Summary of Job:
The Manager of Guest Acquisition Marketing- Paid is responsible for helping Vail Resorts maximize new guest acquisition into the lift ticket business by designing and optimizing innovative, data-driven marketing strategies that drive awareness and effectively convert new guests in a scalable capacity.
This role will develop marketing strategies designed to attract new guests to our resort portfolio and commit them to a lift ticket product in advanced. This position will be a key player in driving the strategic vision for the paid lift ticket business - working cross-functionally to identify innovative ways to expand reach, generate awareness, and drive advance commitment through ROI-focused programs. The ideal leader for this role will have experience in developing go-to-market plans that drive awareness and revenue, solving problems that require tradeoffs, developing and presenting business cases, and experience in driving new customers into a company's portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership and accountability for new customer growth through mid and short-term marketing strategies
- Collaborate with partner and cross-channel teams to drive results and campaign optimizations
- Support GTM strategies and optimizations while prioritizing business needs and qualify opportunities
- Leverage data to draw clear, concise narratives on performance and assess potential strategic opportunities for both guest acquisition and the broader business
- Develop and execute new product and channel ideas to meet growth objectives for prospects
- Understand new marketing tactics targeted at younger generations
- Deliver key presentations to upper management and provide regular reports on the status of the business
Required:
- Four-year college degree required. Emphasis in marketing or business preferred
- 4+ years of work experience (strategy, consulting, product marketing, general marketing, or agency preferred)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Past experience using data to drive marketing decisions (qualitative and quantitative)
- Demonstrated expertise in generating new growth and consistent drive for results
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence across all levels (e.g. manage up, lateral, down)
- Demonstrated experience pushing boundaries, self-starter and innovative thinker
- Ability to thrive in an dynamic fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
