Our UT Health Tyler hospital is seeking an experienced Outpatient Therapy Clinic Manager. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills where you will be responsible for: What You Will Be Doing: The Manager of Outpatient Therapy Clinics ensures smooth operation of Outpatient Therapy, The Olympic Center, and sports medicine activities. The Manager communicates with the Regional Director, senior staff, subordinates, and customers to ensure compliance with UT Health East Texas mission, values, policies, goals, and objectives. Duties, Accountabilites and Responsibilities includes the following: Directs activities of subordinates; makes recommendations and decisions for hires, promotions, salary adjustments, and disciplinary actions in accordance with salary and personnel policies; and evaluates individual employee performance. Assists with the development of short and long term goals and objectives for departments. Assists with the development, secures approval, and administers department budget, policies and procedures. Interacts with medical staff, Rehabilitation Hospital staff, and all customers for program development and satisfaction with Outpatient Services. Maintains records and compiles data to document and compliance with all hospital policies and procedures and with applicable state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. Studies current trends and new developments in physical medicine, fitness and wellness by survey of literature and attendance at professional meeting and conferences. Supervision: The Outpatient Therapy Clinic Manager supervisors Senior Outpatient Therapy Staff, Sports Medicine Coordinator, Outpatient Case Manager, Olympic Center Staff, Secretarial Staff, staff level therapists, assistants, exercise technicians, fitness technicians, and aides under the supervision of Regional Director. Education: Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy required. Master Level Business Administration coursework or degree preferred. Experience: Minimum two years of experience in Senior PT, OT, or SLP position or equivalent required. Skills: Supervisory Experience Excellent human relations and oral/written skills. Certification and Licensure: Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds or more. Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, walking, pushing, pulling, and standing. Must use oral communication to perform work. Must use written and / or verbal sources of information. Environmental Conditions: Work is performed under moderate noise conditions. Travel required. Wet, humid conditions not related to weather. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Risk of electrical shock. Risk of Radiation. Occasionally subjected to irregular hours. Fast Paced Environment. Subject to many interruptions.
