About the Job

Univision is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to service their owned and operated TV and radio stations, as well as digital properties. The Senior Analyst will be based in Miami, FL and will report to the Local Research Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling, analyzing, and creating reports and presentations for use by Sales, News, Corporate, and other departments within the company(s). This individual must be a strategic and creative thinker, a self-starter, and a collaborator willing to learn and share ideas.

Job Responsibilities

  • Compiles, analyzes and presents Nielsen television radio ratings, marketing research and interactive media analytics utilized by Sales, News, Finance, Planning and all levels of Management to help increase sales revenue, station profitability, and audience.
  • Creates PowerPoint presentations with insights developed from all available research sources on audience, marketing and consumer trends.
  • Maintains and effectively utilizes department's research resources including Nielsen, Scarborough, MRI, Kantar, Geoscape, Polk and other research databases.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at a TV station, radio station, radio network, broadcast or cable network, radio station, ad agency, rep firm, or syndicator.
  • Knowledge of Nielsen ratings for television and/or radio, Scarborough and Miller Kaplan (or other ad spending software) methodology and software systems. Experience with Geoscape (or other mapping software), GFK, Polk Insight, and Digital research is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Must know how to create and edit formulas in Excel. The ability to create pivot tables and macros is a plus.
  • Creative vision and innovation in constructing presentations and standard reports.
  • Exceptional organizational, project managements, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written, required.
  • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, manage ad hoc requests and meet deadlines.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) helpful, but not required.
  • Creative vision and innovation in constructing presentations and standard reports.
