Univision is seeking a highly motivated and organized team player to fill the position of Local Media Strategist based in New York, NY. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified candidate to be an integral part of the country's leading U.S. Hispanic Media company and join a fast-growing segment of the business.

The Local Digital Strategist will report to the Director of Local Media Strategy to develop and create innovative opportunities for clients with a primary focus of supporting the local and national Account Executive selling teams across the country. The Local Media Strategist will manage top tier agencies and clients, report on the progress of closed deals, and maintain a pulse on the issues and needs of the AEs and clients in the region.

This position works closely with the local sales teams and oversees the execution of online/mobile/social media plans. This position requires a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of online advertising, media sales, digital products, and mobile platform opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategize, manage, and maintain all aspects of digital media campaigns
  • Contribute strategic and creative ideas to meet client challenges
  • Report on progress of closed deals and identify any upsell opportunities
  • Optimize campaign performance to fulfills client goals
  • Liaison with production, traffic, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of digital assets
  • Cultivate a strong trusting relationship with clients, sales partners, activation partners to ensure optimal business partnership
  • Recognize needs of the overall account and effectively work with team leads for solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of relevant digital media sales experience within an Ad Sales organization
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to present to internal (UCI) and external (client facing / ad agency) audiences
  • Must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure and be very detail-oriented
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Tolerance for some ambiguity, self-directed in fast moving environments. Adaptable to shifting projects and competing priorities
  • Ability to analyze reports and data, provide concise explanations, and problem solve
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with 1st and 3rd party ad servers (I.E. DFA/DFP), ad verification platforms (I.E. IAS, MOAT) and reporting process
  • Operative One knowledge
  • Spanish language fluency
  • IAB/RAB Certification
