Position Summary

Univision Communications is the premier Spanish language media company in the United States. Univision is seeking a talented Local Account Executive based in Austin, Texas with Broadcast Sales and/or Media Agency experience. Individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills to sell Spanish Language Media Assets, focused on Radio and Digital to advertising agencies, local direct clients and other for-profit organizations in the Austin area. These could be current high spend accounts or ones that have the potential for substantial growth. Key tasks of this role include strong New Business development skills, contacting and presenting to clients and agencies, developing marketing campaigns that encompass all platforms, negotiating contracts, building creative solutions, executing transactions and on occasion attend after work events/weekend promotions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new leads, as well as qualify leads generated by support functions
  • Develop client specific presentations, attend client meetings, make presentations and close sales
  • Work in partnership with support team on pre-sale processes (e.g., fill out all required paperwork and maintain the business in all traffic or order entry systems of organization, production process supervision))
  • Sell entire Radio product line (Commercials, events)
  • Digital: Digital Social Media and influencer sales; a thorough knowledge of programmatic buying and selling, data sales, video and analytics
  • Attend promotional events and other client networking events
  • Work in partnership with support team on post-sale processes (e.g., collections)
  • Develop new business across all categories and product lines
  • Prepare weekly reports and attend internal meetings
  • Decipher and build research analytics with support team
  • Accurate account forecasting
  • Collaborate with all departments on potential client opportunities

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Client skills including prospecting, conveying value proposition and overcoming objections
  • Ability to conduct effective account planning and coordinate different resources to meet customer needs
  • Strong analytical and negotiations skills
  • Computer skills including Windows 2000/XP, Word, PowerPoint and Excel required
  • 3 years minimum experience in tangible or intangible sales

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) both written and oral a plus
  • Experience in generating new business preferred
  • Marketing background a plus
  • Previous advertising/media & digital experience
  • Knowledge of Nielsen, Scarborough, Polk, Matrix, Concur, Wide Orbit, Strata

  • Must be willing to work from home and office in Austin, Texas

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
