The Clinical Innovation and Program Operations Lead plays a critical role to ensure Seidman Cancer Center's innovative and strategic programs' defined goals and objectives are met to enhance patient reported outcomes for oncology patients.
What You Will Do- Coordinates Seidman Cancer Center’s innovative and strategic programs and related activities to ensure adherence to program requirements and completion of clinical, strategic and operational management goals and objectives are achieved within each program’s prescribed guidelines and time frames.
- Leads innovative and strategic programing conception, planning, implementation, execution and performance control for each program within each program’s prescribed guidelines and time frames. This can include development and implementation of related direct-to-employer and other value-based or risk-based delivery and reimbursement models.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary clinical and administrative leadership teams to integrate innovative and strategic programs into existing UH Seidman system(s) of care. Assists with workflow optimization to improve program effectiveness, including policy and procedure development, workflow methods and caregiver training.
- Provides recommendations for appropriate allocation of clinical, administrative, operational and financial resources necessary to ensure adherence to expected patient care initiatives and outcomes. Assists with expense management and preparation of annual operating budgets.
- Responsible for continuous performance monitoring and evaluation of key performance indicators (KPIs) aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, safety, and process efficiency. Fosters a culture of continuous improvement to achieve desired outcomes by collaborating with key stakeholders to refine processes and eliminate barriers to success.
- Provides recommendations for and assists with implementation of any corrective measures to address gaps and risks. Participates in related quality and process improvement initiatives. Participates in and supports related research and evidence-based best practices initiatives.
- Generates, collects, reviews and submits reports and all other required documentation timely and in accordance with internal SOPs, sponsor guidelines and applicable regulations for each program.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field (Required) and
- Master's Degree in a related field (e.g., MHA, MPH, MSN) (Preferred)
- 3+ years in healthcare program coordination, clinical operations, or healthcare project management (Required)
- Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, clinical workflows, change management and quality improvement methodologies (Required proficiency)
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously while balancing priorities and resources (Required proficiency)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience collaborating across clinical and administrative teams (Required proficiency)
- Proficiency in project management tools and data analysis (Required proficiency)
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and accreditation requirements (Preferred proficiency)
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP-PMI) (Preferred) and
- Certification in Lean/Six Sigma (Preferred)
