Overview

Newton Medical Center is seekingfor a Unit Associate in the Nursing Resources department to work evenings including every other weekend.



Responsibilities

daily operations of the main front desk. Preparation of admissions, discharges and transfers from the department. Ordering supplies, equipment for patient, specialty bed orders. Patient follow up appoint arrangements. Greets oncoming patients to the unit, liaison for the unit. Ordering supplies, equipment for patient, specialty bed orders. Patient follow up appoint arrangements. Resource for hospital information systems and devices: Troubleshoots unit/floor computer problems (computer errors, printer jams, broken equipment, etc.). Identifies, reports (to Customer Support Center) and tracks problems with hospital information systems/devices. Serves as training support to nursing staff for non-clincial computer system functions such as printing labels, ADT. Participates in training of new unit representatives. Attends all required training classes and stays up-to-date on system changes. Manages incoming calls



Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Qualifications:

  • Priormedial office, hospital setting experience
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Epic experience preferred
