Position Summary/ Job Description :
The Supplier Warranty Specialist works to communicate and recoup warranty claim cost from suppliers. This position works cross-functionally with internal teams and suppliers to resolve data accuracy issues, provide process support for suppliers, and negotiate claim settlements. In this key role, you will work to refine the supplier claim process and improve the overall efficiency of the program.

Strong communication skills, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to develop strong supplier relationships are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities :

  • Communicate and resolve supplier warranty claims on a month/quarterly basis
  • Provide software process training and support for suppliers
  • Work with internal teams to resolve data accuracy issues or gather additional claim details as necessary to support supplier claim resolution
  • Work with Trek's Quality teams to investigate issues to determine responsibility
  • Participate in CI projects and develop strategies to improve the supplier claim process
  • Build and develop metrics to communicate recovery program insights

Position Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, supply chain or a combination of education and related work experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with supplier negotiations within a purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing quality role
  • Understanding of many aspects of the business: including Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Finance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships
  • Experienced user of MS Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Prior experience working in a Business Intelligence environment/Power BI tools a plus
  • Prior experience with process development, documentation, and training a plus
  • Must have a team first attitude and be a self-starter
