Key Accountabilities

List the core job responsibilities/accountabilities that are fundamental but not marginal to the performance of the job, the employees success and impact on the organization. Assign a percentage of time the accountability will require each year that totals to 100% for all accountabilities. Select the level of importance the accountability has to the success of the position.

Reporting:

  • Lead monthly P&L analysis and reporting to senior management
  • Prepare and monitor various reporting on expenses and coordinate with all departments to monitor expense status and provide assistance where appropriate.

Analysis:

  • Capture KPIs and analyze trends over time. Independently perform deep-dive analysis to understand the underlying drivers. Provide insight and commentary on trends; proactively identify opportunities/risk areas where appropriate
  • Perform return analysis on various project proposals, monitor investment performance and provide recommendations

Expense and Capital Planning:

  • Support the preparation of annual budget
  • Be primary owner of expense accounts and coordinate planning process across departments
  • Support the Capital Planning process
  • Coordinate and provide rolling forecast throughout the year as required
  • Support creation of documentation and presentations for senior leadership

Ad Hoc

  • Support other ad-hoc requests from other departments in Japan as well as Corporate.

Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements

Specify number of years of job-related experience required; type of degree required/preferred; certificates/licenses; specific skills required (e.g., computer programs, foreign language skills, special machines, etc.). In addition, include special attendance issues (e.g. traditional working hours, non-traditional working hours like working on weekends).

Required Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • English and Japanese communication skills in writing and verbal (TOEIC 850 or above ; JLPT N2 or N1)
  • Advance level of Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint
  • Self-Starter/Good coordinator
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule during monthly and year-end closings
  • University degree

Preferred Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements:

  • Experience of Hyperion, Business Objects, and JDE software
  • Budget process experience
