How will you make an impact?
This role will be part of the Supply Chain supporting Pharma Services MMS Business and will have a primary focus on ensuring an organized, cGMP warehouse that provides excellent inventory control and material management to the Carlsbad site.


What will you do?
  • Following all standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to complete all internal and external
  • customer requests. Position will be in one of the functional areas of the warehouse including receiving, picking,
  • packing and shipping.
  • Processes orders according to priority set by Supervisor/Group Lead in order to meet customer requirements
  • Receive, picks, packages, and labels shipments according to the Distribution SOP and work instructions
  • Maneuvers picking cart or powered industrial truck to various locations throughout the Distribution Center
  • to locate materials and fulfill orders
  • Completes paper documentation requirements for packing and shipping of hazardous chemicals
  • Practices good housekeeping and keeps inventory neat, clean, and orderly
  • Completes paper documentation requirements as outlined by Distribution SOP’s
  • Verifies proper storage conditions of products and notifies Supervisor of any inventory issues that may arise
  • such as Can’t Finds, Expired Product, Breakage, and Out-Of-Stocks.
  • Assist in investigating, writing, and correcting deviations to the Warehouse SOPs and applicable QMS
  • Assist other team members, as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction including maintaining sufficient
  • employee relations and teamwork.

How will you get here?
Education
High school diploma or GED required.

Experience
  • The successful candidate will have previous warehouse experience, including RF Scanning, Fork Lift operation in a cGMP Warehouse and may be required to use respirator
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including detail orientation and accuracy in documentation
  • Previous experience with computers and inventory control systems (ERP / SAP) is required
  • Previous experience in a chemical or biologics environment; CDMO experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Candidate must be comfortable working in an environment with hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including detail orientation and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to work alternately in a seated or standing position is required
  • Knowledge of safety practices is desirable
  • Will perform all other duties as may apply to the existing job description
