How will you make an impact?
The Project Management office is a team of division level resources with proven capabilities at driving project execution and team collaboration across functions and business units. This position is responsible for strategic projects involving, but not limited to, new product development, commercial, supply chain and/or manufacturing process improvements, and designed to improve productivity, capacity, cost reduction and efficiencies. By providing guidance and support to project teams, this individual is in charge for projects from inception to post launch surveillance in collaboration with BU Teams, product managers, cross-functional partners and subject matter authorities. This role will be taking lead on project communications to partners, including regular updates, potential roadblocks, identified risks and upcoming plans. In addition this role includes coordinate projects at all stages from scope, justification calculation, appropriation request, detailed design, as well as including tracking stage-gate approvals, planning, execution, and close-out.
What will you do?
Proving project execution support across a distributed team of project managers.
Establishing and promoting industry-recognised, outstanding project management standards.
Evaluates and harmonises stage gate processes between business units while ensuring adherence to remain aligned with ISO certifications.
Partners with LCD cross functional teams to collect input from multiple segments and assist with crafting, project charters, RACI Charts, detailed project plans, as well as all required project documentation.
Facilitates creation and implementation of Project RACI Charts.
Provides project management subject matter expertise and support for large and/or complex programs.
Capture Project / Program critical metrics and supervises progress.
Leads regular project cadence meetings across BU & cross functional teams, drives prioritisation and reports on status.
Ensures information concerning project status (i.e. schedules, results, costs, risks, and issues) passes to-and-from key partners.
Provides input and approval process for change requests (i.e. scope, schedule, and cost).
Identifies resource bottlenecks that may be negatively impacting programs and works with project team / extended team to address shorter and longer term.
Ensures that an effective risk growth process is established and that barriers to effective project execution are identified and addressed.
Communicates standards of project management role and responsibility, as well as provide mentorship around PMO activities / results as needed.
How will you get there?
Bachelor’s degree required preferably in business or program/project management.
Experience in life sciences, supply chain, manufacturing or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in program/project management.
PRINCE or PMP certification preferred.
Experience developing program/project processes and motivating change.
Experience driving continuous improvements projects across an organization (with knowledge in Lean, Transformation, Six Sigma and Practical Process Improvement methodologies preferred).
Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and SharePoint) required.
Strong preference for experience in modern project portfolio management tools.
Interacts and establishes successful relationships with core and extended team members, functional managers, senior management, and customers.
Able to effectively navigate in a matrix environment and influence others or gain their acceptance to proposed solutions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels of employee groups. Able to present a convincing argument to senior leaders.
Succeed in a high speed, high pressure environment with ability to adjust quickly and change course as needed.
Comfortable working in a diverse environment.
Ability to manage different jobs and responsibilities.
Participates with project teams and other project managers to establish project plans and objectives. Aids in final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives.
Travel 10-25%.
