How you will make an impact?
The Packaging Specialist is a pivotal role within the Production Technical Team. Leading packaging projects, interacting with client technical resources and identifying, and implementing technical solutions for secondary packaging. As a member of the Production Technical Team, you will develop and transfer process knowledge and build expertise in the Production Technical Team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with client resources regarding design, development, and qualification of secondary packaging (labels, cartons, patient inserts), tertiary packaging (bundling, case packs, palletizing) as well as Serialization (System Software and Hardware, Master Data, Shipper Labels)
- Author and manage the approval of drawings/die lines, material specifications, Bill of Materials/ Work Orders, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions as well as support artwork development and approval.
- Define, document, and manage the processes for secondary packaging in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and Regulatory requirements including Packaging Batch record author, edit and approval.
- Lead or support the development or implementation of Equipment, Processes and Validation to support new business and ongoing commercial support.
- Support the training and development of other staff members to ensure proficiency (suitably qualified and experienced personnel) in packaging and serialization activities.
- Train other staff in the use of TraceLink to support Serialization activities.
- Develop case labels using CodeSoft required to support Engineering Line Trials and Commercial Production.
- Participate and contribute to project, site and global team meetings
- Perform all necessary training as required for the performance of your role and job-related safety.
How will you get here?
- Secondary Package design, development, and testing experience essential.
- Serialization experience (Master Data, Software Systems, Reading/Coding Equipment) highly desirable.
- Experience working in a GMP environment desirable.
- Ability to set priorities and operate independently are desirable.
- Ability to work within and deliver critical timelines.
- Strong analytical skills required to analyze reports and data, adjust as necessary and ensure customer requirements are being met.
- Experience working with and analyzing databases and XML files.
- Ability to lead cross functional teams, communicate effectively and empower others to deliver project timelines.
- Proficient with standard Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook.
