About the role:

We are looking for a strong communications professional who has experience in leading internal and external communications programs. We want an innovator who can use his or her strategic communication skills, love of words and passion for helping others to develop messages that are moving and motivating -- reinforcing to employees and external audiences that what we do as a company truly makes a difference in the world.

In this role, you will develop and execute communication programs to help Pharma Services Group (PSG) stakeholders understand the business’ strategy, markets and offerings, as well as connect employees to the company Mission. Reporting to the Director, Business Communications, you will work in partnership with the PSG communications team to develop strategic communication initiatives for the Clinical Trials Division (CTD.)

You will be seen as a strategic communications adviser to the CTD leadership team and other business stakeholders and will be required to operate both at the strategic and tactical level. You will also work closely with the Corporate Communications team members for PR, Employee Communications and Government Relations activities.

How will you make an impact?

  • Working with the Director of Business Communications, PSG, in conjunction with CTD senior leadership, develop and execute communications strategies aligned to business goals
  • Provide communications support for CTD President
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Develop inspirational stories to engage CTD employees in the future of the business, the promise of CTD’s services and the impact on our customers and their patients
  • Help to manage and coordinate PR planning on major expansions and business announcements
  • Lead change and crisis management initiatives for CTD businesses
  • Create content for town hall presentations, manager communication decks, intranet, videos and other communication channels
  • Write/Develop leadership presentations, video scripts or other communication content as needed
  • Write, review and edit organizational announcements and additional communications as needed, ensuring appropriate corporate processes are followed
  • Manage the CTD presence on the company intranet
  • Manage Senior Communications Specialist

How will you get here?

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field
  • 5+ years of professional communications experience in a similar environment, including 1-2 years of experience planning and executing communications strategies
  • Demonstrates key characteristics of a world-class communication function including trust, focus, empowerment, accountability and ownership and operating with a ‘one team’ mentality.
  • Outstanding writing, proofreading and editorial skills, familiarity with AP Style Guidelines, and a demonstrated ability to simplify complex content and bring stories to life for a diverse global employee population
  • The ability to communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent business acumen, organizational and leadership skills
  • The ability to work in a very fast-paced matrix environment with minimal supervision and meet strict deadlines
  • A keen eye for quality and detail, superior problem-solving skills
  • People management experience
  • Experience in creating and implementing change management strategies
  • Experience in social media and intranet content development platforms
  • Experience in SharePoint (editing and design), Yammer and other Office 365 programs and applications, Adobe PhotoShop or Elements (or other photo editing program) and basic video filming/editing skills
