Location/Division Specific Information

The Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD) is a ~$650M revenue division within the Life Sciences and Laboratory Products Group (LSLPG). We provide a broad range of chemicals and solutions supporting virtually every laboratory application, from research to drug discovery and development to manufacturing. We are headquartered in Paramus, New Jersey and have a strong team of 1,400 colleagues across 12 global facilities, including Fair Lawn, New Jersey; Bridgewater, New Jersey; Ward Hill, Massachusetts; Heysham, UK; Loughborough, UK; Geel, Belgium; and Kandel, Germany.

Discover Impactful Work:

As part of the LCD Finance Team you will provide strong business partnership support to the business. This role works closely with other Finance team members to consolidate and analyze Divisional revenue forecasts and provide commentary for revenue performance. In addition, the successful candidate will work with key partners to find opportunities to drive improvements in revenue reporting and analytics

A day in the Life:

  • Own the commercial FP&A process for the Americas Commercial team by supporting the Annual Operating Plan and forecasting processes across the team. This process will use sales analytics to drive commercial actions for growing revenue (including price achievement).
  • Partner with the other Regional Sales Leaders and their finance business partners in leading the monthly Commercial Business Review process.
  • Provide revenue variance analysis for the MBR (Monthly Business review) and QBR (Quarterly Business Review) financial reporting packages.
  • Support the development and maintenance of our global sales data warehouse (Cognos) and Salesforce.com CRM system (SFDC).
  • Perform ad hoc analysis, analytical modeling, and compile data for performance measurements.

Keys to Success:

Education

Bachelor’s Degree required in Finance, Accounting, or other related field

Experience

  • Requires strong FP&A background
  • 5+ years proven experience providing financial/data analysis, revenue forecasting and commercial support, preferably in a global manufacturing organization.
  • Familiarity and understanding of performance impacts from foreign currency fluctuations.
  • Hyperion Planning and Cognos experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Expert Excel, Power Point and advanced data warehouse skills required.
  • Strong finance/accounting and analytical skills. Must be comfortable analyzing large amounts of data in an efficient manner to facilitate decision making.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to step back, analyze the overall business impact and synthesize the messaging.
  • Strong and persuasive communicator: essential to have credibility within a multifaceted, exciting environment and in the context of providing outstanding business partnering support.
  • Detail oriented, self-starter, operational improvement mentality.
