About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Prepares monthly journal entries in accordance with GAAP and Company policies
- Performs key balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepares required sales, excise, VAT, and other tax-related documents
- Prepares routine and ad hoc reporting to support business requirements
- Maintains GL account structure and mappings
- Loads data into various financial systems
- Assists in Internal and External Audits
- Responds to internal customer queries
- Assists with cycle count observations at US-based warehouses
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience and working knowledge of commonly used Accounting concepts, practices, and procedures (GAAP)
- Proficient computer skills and technical knowledge in using accounting systems, Microsoft Office, email, web searches and database entry
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple and diverse projects with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated success and ability to effectively interact with other disciplines within the Company such as sales, customer service, and distribution
- Ability to appropriately represent Company to internal and external clients
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Deadline and detail orientated
- Regular attendance and punctuality is a condition of employment and an essential function for any position within the Company
- Ability to accurately understand and follow established Company policies, procedures and objectives
- 5% domestic travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other relevant background
- Strong written communication skills, along with clear and concise verbal skills
- Excellent skills with MS Excel
- Knowledge of Cognos and PLNR reporting
- Experience with transacting in multiple currencies
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
