Account Manager Inside Sales Bioscience (m/w/d)
Location: Darmstadt, office based

What will you do?

  • Provide our customers with unique solutions that enable breakthrough discoveries, solve complex scientific challenges or meet routine testing needs
  • Drive revenue growth and overall customer satisfaction through sales of consumables and instruments within our life science product portfolio in your assigned territory.
  • Grow our sales mainly through phone and email contact with our customers
  • Provide support and generate sales through phone calls, emails and regular visits to all organizational levels and functional areas where purchasing decisions are made
  • Report activities in the CRM system and summarize outcome to your direct line manager
  • Provide a weekly sales forecast based on historic data and market knowledge
  • Develop and implement strategy for your territory to maximize growth
  • Achieve sales targets set, both quarterly and annually
  • Develop product knowledge sufficient to successfully conduct an effective sales presentation of entire Thermo Fisher Scientific Consumables Portfolio
  • Participate at exhibitions, conferences or road shows and customer visits and also initiate and run smaller sales events
  • Maintain and increase current customer database through Siebel CRM

How will you get here?

  • Academic degree (M.Sc. or preferably higher) in Life Sciences or successful accomplishment of vocational training as a laboratory technician or technical assistant along with professional experience in this area
  • General knowledge of assigned product portfolio and/or customer segment required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills addressing diverse customer audiences and decision makers in German and English
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Ability to work effectively in a high performance team
  • Positive attitude and desire to succeed
  • High degree of flexibility and motivation in adapting to a rapidly changing business environment
  • Strong organizational skills, including ability to set priorities
  • Computer skills in MS Office (incl. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) are required
