Summary:
-
Administer, install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and retire Linux-based systems (RHEL/CentOS)
-
Support production infrastructure, including networking, storage, compute, monitoring, and system lifecycle management
-
Provide technical support and problem resolution for HPC environments
-
Manage and support parallel and distributed file systems (e.g., Lustre, GPFS)
-
Support high-speed interconnects such as InfiniBand and Omni-Path
-
Administer HPC batch scheduling systems (e.g., PBSPro, SLURM)
-
Support Panasas/Vdura storage systems
-
Implement security controls, system hardening, and compliance requirements
-
Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
-
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
-
Collaborate across teams and organizational boundaries to support mission objectives
Requirements:
-
Active Secret clearance required to start
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
-
3+ years of hands-on experience with Linux system administration (RHEL, CentOS)
-
Experience supporting production infrastructure (networking, storage, compute, monitoring)

Experience with HPC technologies, including:
-
Parallel/distributed file systems (Lustre, GPFS)
-
High-speed interconnects (InfiniBand, Omni-Path)
-
Batch schedulers (PBSPro, SLURM)
-

Experience supporting Panasas/Vdura storage
-
Strong technical writing and documentation skills
-
Demonstrated ability to work across teams and organizations
-
Self-starter with a focus on continuous improvement
-
Ability to build effective relationships with technical teams and SMEs
-
Security+ certification required
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Skills:

Strong IT skills in infrastructure, applications, and system hardening

Experience implementing security controls in global environments

Experience installing and compiling vendor and open-source software
-
Experience supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)

Scripting and automation experience (PowerShell, Ansible, Python, etc.)

Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8/9
-
RHCSA certification a plus
