Administrator-in-Training
Location: Flushing, Queens.
The Pavilion at Queens is launching a developmental role designed for individuals interested in building a career in skilled nursing facility leadership. This position begins in a concierge/front-facing capacity and is structured to progressively expand into administrative responsibilities through on-the-job training and direct mentorship from the facility Administrator.
This role offers hands-on exposure to facility operations, leadership functions, and regulatory processes, creating a clear pathway toward future administrative advancement and Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) licensure.
Role Progression & Responsibilities
Concierge & Facility Support

Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, families, and visitors.

Support front-desk operations, communication flow, and customer service standards.

Assist with administrative tasks and coordination across departments.
Administrative Training & Operational Exposure

Train alongside the Administrator to gain insight into daily facility management.

Assist department leaders with operational needs and workflow coordination.

Learn staffing processes, scheduling support, and employee engagement practices.

Support compliance-related tasks, documentation, and regulatory preparation.

Participate in resident and family relations alongside leadership.

Assist with reports, audits, and performance improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities will expand over time based on performance, training milestones, and facility needs.
Qualifications

Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting required.

Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
