Job Description

Join the LEGO® Design Internship Talent Pool 2026

Are you ready to turn your creative ideas into play experiences that inspire children and adults alike? As a LEGO Design Intern, you’ll embark on a journey where imagination meets innovation. Our internships are about more than design - they’re about shaping the future of play.

About the LEGO Design Internship Program

At the LEGO® Group, we don’t just create toys - we create experiences that spark curiosity and joy. As a LEGO Design Intern, you’ll spend 4 months immersed in innovation, design, and the magic of play. With a dedicated onboarding program, a mentor's guidance, and a diverse skillset around you, you'll learn the LEGO way of product development. This is your opportunity to refine your skills and evolve as a design professional.

Concept and Model Design Internship

As a Model & Concept Design Intern, you’ll be part of the LEGO Model & Concept Design Team – the creative hub where ideas are transformed into physical LEGO play experiences using our amazing LEGO elements. You’ll design, prototype, and refine models that bring stories to life and spark play for children of all ages. Your work will directly shape the sets that end up in the hands of millions of builders worldwide.

Who Can Apply?

  • Students pursuing degrees in Industrial Design, Product Design, Toy Design, Architecture, Model Making, or related design fields.
  • A passion for play and storytelling and a desire of designing LEGO sets with our entire element stock at your disposal.
  • Some proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite Package
  • You must be an active student at the time of the internship, and the internship should be an integrated part of your educational program.

Application Details

  • Spring Internship (March–June): Apply by November 1, 2025.
  • Autumn Internship (September–December): Apply by March 1, 2026.
  • Applications must include portfolio, CV, and cover letter (all in English).
  • Application must also clearly state if you’re applying for the Spring or Autumn internship.
  • Please only apply for the internship(s) that align with your education and skill set.

Location & Community

All our LEGO Design internships take place in Billund, Denmark, the heart of the LEGO Group. Here you’ll join an organisation with more than 600 creative professionals from around the world. You’ll live alongside other interns, building friendships and networks that last beyond your internship.

Why Join the LEGO Design Internship Program?

  • Gain hands-on experience in your chosen design area.
