As Internal Sales Specialist you will grow to have a deep knowledge of the portfolio, process and vendor pricing and you will manage all the quotes and close orders.


  • Build excellent customer and vendor sales relationships through proactive engagement and demonstrable specialist product knowledge under supervision
  • Generate new business opportunities by planning outbound calls to customers and can have a general conversation around a solution/product area
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly Revenue and Margin targets
  • Proactively develop relationships with key internal and external contacts
  • Engages in active inside selling by using a number of different sources to gain information on customers and utilises this to maximise call potential and outcomes
  • Manages customer backorder along specialist knowledge
  • Provide, sell and negotiate product information, pricing, special offers and promotions
  • Ensure Tech Data maintains service levels agreements with customers
  • Sell the benefits of using Tech Data and the Company value proposition
  • Develops partner relationship (incl. account planning, cross-selling etc.)

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • Numerate with good attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Priority management and planning skills
  • Strive to achieve set targets
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Good relationship building
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
