Role Summary/Purpose:
The AVP, Technical Product Lead is an individual contributor working in the Synchrony Financial Technology organization. This role supports Pay Later, Synchrony’s Buy Now Pay Later installment loan solution. The Technology Product Owner will be responsible for managing software delivery in a shared resource, agile environment. Delivery of product features will span multiple departments, functions, and platforms.
You’ll be responsible for facilitating strategic and tactical conversations among a wide range of business and technical stakeholders, converting customer needs and business requirements into a technical roadmap, and collaborating across multiple Agile Release Trains and Agile Delivery Teams to deliver these features/capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background with a technical background, as well as a proven track record of delivering critical initiatives in Agile at Scale.

Essential Responsibilities:
Manage and own all features within 1-2 domains of Pay Later customer lifecycle
Partner with the business in understanding new initiative feasibility, level of effort, and planning priorities for Pay Later roadmap
Coordinate and lead technical refinement of new and enhanced product features
Collaborate with architects to refine solutions, ensure cross platform integration compatibility and document with architectural & technical diagrams
Oversee development progress, remove product blockers, and ensure timely delivery of owned items
Validate testing outcomes and integrated function to ensure quality delivery and market readiness
Facilitate release coordination of owned items and assist with launch
Communicate with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders at every level of the business
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of IT experience or equivalent leadership program experience, or in lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of IT experience, experience in developing and implementing information systems and project management experience
Experience with technical projects – comfort with leading technical discussions, technical documentation, architectural diagrams, etc.

POPM Certification in Scaled Agile 6.0
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
