JOB SUMMARY:
Monitors Casino and associated areas via CCTV and direct observation to insure compliance with law, regulations, policy and procedure.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Receives training in monitoring casino and associated areas via CCTV and direct observation to insure compliance with law, regulations, policy and procedures. 
  • Monitors play for all games, distinguishing high-action, levels of play, strategy, etc. 
  • Notes and documents discrepancies to correct house procedures or suspicious activity. 
  • Observes adjunct casino departments such as Slots, Cage, etc.
  • Reviews tape for jackpots, procedure errors, patron claims, cash transactions, and previous shift incidents. 
  • Peruses and produces reports on procedure errors, pertinent information, tape review results, and previous shift incidents. 
  • Answers phones, gathering pertinent information from adjunct departments. 
  • Changes tapes, placing corresponding tape in VCRs to be recorded for correct shift; rewinds tapes to be put back in retention. 
  • Provides photos as requested by adjunct departments. 
  • Performs floor surveillance. 
  • Programs time and date, titling, and sequencing (keypad). 
  • Provides overall surveillance and monitoring of all casino activities. 
  • Surveys productivity of live games and provides high-action player analysis. 
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Thorough knowledge of casino games and surveillance equipment. 
  • Minimum age requirement is 21.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Frequently standing, walking distances up to 30 ft., reaching, seeing, hearing, kneeling, fingering, handling and wrist motion.
  • Constantly taking direction, paying attention to details and making decisions.
  • Frequently sitting, twisting, eye/hand coordination, reading and writing.
  • Occasionally walking distances up to 1,000 ft. between departments.
  • Occasionally carrying documents and files up to 5 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Inside a climate-controlled environment
  • Outside: humid, high places, changing temperatures, hot, cold, dry, wet, dirty, noisy, hazards, odors
  • Cement surfaces
  • Noise
  • Working with others and sometimes alone.
