Responsibilities

Role Summary

The Brand & Marketing Manager role will be critical to rolling out campaigns and all communication with the Consumer Private & Business Banking (CPBB) function.  This individual will bring the Bank’s products to life through campaigns, social media management, Digital Marketing, and use of traditional and other non-traditional forms of marketing where available.

Strategy

  • Work closely with the Segments and Product teams across the business to develop campaigns that speak effectively to the needs of the Client and drive branding and consideration for products and services in a strategic manner 
  • In addition, use consumer, competitor and research insights to provide thought leadership in formulation of brand & marketing strategy and then execute the same. 
  •  Work with the various creative and media agencies to ensure strategic and effective communication both BTL and ATL.

Business

  • Work with both the digital and social media agency to ensure that effective utilization of digital marketing. Responsibility as the country social media manager. 
  • Design and execute brand specifications (Brand positioning and brand architecture) to reinforce the overall SCB brand positioning. Support product naming and trademark-related matters and branch merchandising.
  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates
  • Project manage enterprise marketing campaigns and programs
  • Deliver quality marketing activities to drive exceptional client experiences - on plan, on budget and on time
  • Monitor competition branding and marketing activities, inform stakeholders and advice counter plans
  • Assist drive productivity from all advertising and marketing investments, from tracking and measuring campaign KPIs

Processes

  • Follow the Brand & Marketing discipline and processes such as briefing, expectation management, SLA, agency relations, financials (budget & ROI), stakeholder management, guidelines, regulatory and marketing council

People & Talent

  • Setting appropriate tone and expectations for the team, working in collaboration with Brand & Marketing partners across all functions to effectively embed a strong culture of Brand & Marketing awareness and knowledge to the business

Risk Management

  • Work with Corporate Affairs to monitor the Banks reputation and manage any reputation risk issues that may arise
  • Ensure Brand & Marketing monthly GL EORP reconciliations are completed and submitted on time. 

Governance

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct
  • Ensure Brand & Marketing is complaint to the Risk Management Framework, Group Code of Conduct, and various Policies, Procedures, and guidelines of the Bank.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate 

  •         Candidate should have digital marketing experience
  •       Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
  •       Should understand social media platforms and have backed knowledge of these platforms
  •        3-5 years relevant work experience in a Brand & Marketing role 
  •        Ability to work with teams, manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
  • Comfortable in interfacing with external clients
  • Candidate should have event planning experience
  • A self-starter who can be creative and innovative, and who can also guide utilization of budgets based on prior experience.
