Senior Equipment Service Technician
About the Job
The Senior Equipment Service Technician oversees and/or performs installation, modification and maintenance of sterilizers, autoclaves, and other patient care, animal care and cGMP process equipment and related support systems (steam, condensate, pneumatics, etc.) campus-wide. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, calibration, testing of autoclaves and process equipment and modification and testing of equipment control system operations codes. In this position, you will work with the Design and Construction department and/or contractors, oversees the installation, startup and testing of new autoclaves, and other patient care, animal care and cGMP process equipment campus-wide. Another responsibility of this role is to coordinate equipment and systems maintenance and repair with responsible Facility Managers and Supervisors.
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Five (5) years’ experience as a mechanic working on steam, condensate and pneumatic systems in a hospital, research facility, or similar environment, plus
- Five (5) years’ experience operating, troubleshooting and maintaining research, patient care or cGMP autoclaves and process equipment, or equipment of similar technical sophistication is required
- Steam and Refrigeration Engineer First Class License from Memphis and Shelby County Office of Construction Code Enforcement preferred
