Position: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary: $135,000 – $145,000 per year (based on experience)

Spring Creek Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in leading our clinical team and maintaining excellence in resident care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing the philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Department

  • Support the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program and monitor corrective action plans

  • Review and evaluate resident care practices to ensure quality outcomes

  • Assist in planning, developing, and evaluating the Rehabilitation Nursing Program

  • Coordinate and oversee Infection Control Program activities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate orientation, in-service education, and ongoing staff development programs

  • Maintain detailed records of training and evaluate program effectiveness

  • Identify staff learning needs and develop educational programs accordingly

  • Supervise and support new employee orientation and evaluation processes

  • Provide ongoing consultation and feedback to supervisors regarding staff performance and development

  • Assist with PRI preparation and coordination for quarterly RUG submissions

  • Assist with scheduling and staffing coordination for nursing personnel

  • Participate in interviewing and hiring nursing staff

  • Assist in reviewing and updating facility policies, procedures, and job descriptions

  • Participate in interdisciplinary committees affecting nursing practice

  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff and healthcare team members

  • Represent the Director of Nursing and manage the department in their absence

  • Ensure compliance with resident rights, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New York

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive nursing management experience in a Long-Term Care facility

  • PRI Assessor Certification required

  • Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership skills

  • Strong knowledge of nursing education, administration, regulatory compliance, and staff development

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teaching abilities
