About the Job


Changeover Workers are responsible for ensuring set-up and tear downs for events are completed according to specifications in a safe and timely manner. They are also responsible basic maintenance and upkeep of both the building and property. A changeover worker must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities.

This position is based at our Macon Centreplex. The Macon Centreplex is a multi-purpose arena and in Macon, Georgia. It was home to the Macon Whoopee (ECHL), Macon Whoopee (CHL) and Macon Trax ice hockey teams and also the Macon Knights arena football team until 2006. It is home to the Macon Mayhem, a minor-league hockey team in the Southern Professional Hockey League. This venue seats up to 7,182 for hockey and arena football and up to 9,252 for concerts.   • Arrives for work on time for each scheduled shift, in uniform and ready to work
  • Performs set-up and tear down duties
  • Performs daily operations and general building maintenance during non-event days
  • Performs general landscaping of the property
  • Works safely, quickly and efficiently to meet all deadlines
  • Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor
  • All other tasks assigned by Supervisor


  • Must be able to work overnight hours, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to take both verbal and written direction
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time, kneel, stoop, climb stair, and reach/lift above head in conjunction with conversion tasks
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate hand tools
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
