We are seeking an entry-level Quality Assurance Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field. What to look forward to: As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to ensure all quality standards are met for our products and production equipment. You'll be responsible for designing and testing our processes, mechanisms, and equipment and developing standardized quality acceptance criteria. Your technical responsibilities during planning, organizing, and conducting our projects involves the design and development of new evaluation and control processes utilizing statistical analysis and other control/risk mitigation techniques.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support QA system in accordance with regulatory, government, and internal standards

  • Verify product design incorporates customer requirements and establishes inspection controls

  • Specify production and QA inspection points for designed products; assist production team with development of product documentation

  • Interface with Customer and Program Management to complete customer reviews, inspections, tests, and audits; coordinate follow-up actions

  • Inspect, witness, and/or certify production operations, tests, and documentation

  • Adhere to test & calibration equipment procedures

  • Coordinate with various departments to disposition supplier rejections and discrepant material

  • Represent Quality in MRB by coordinating activities, maintaining MRB records, and dispositioning parts

  • Assign quality codes on purchase requisitions to suppliers to meet customer and internal requirements

  • Audit internal procedures and processes in accordance with company/contract requirements

  • Perform supplier visits and source inspections; maintain Approved Vendor List

  • Coordinate with various departments to disposition supplier rejections and discrepant material

Must haves:

  • BS in Related Field and at least 1 year of related experience

  • Related Quality experience with a good working knowledge of Quality System requirements, contract quality requirements and inspection

  • Use of basic inspection tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc…) and visual inspection using microscopes

  • Basic understanding of product and process nonconformance and root cause analysis (problem solving skills)

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions and test procedures, preferably GD&T experience

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences


  • Aerospace industry experience

  • Basic motor and electronic component knowledge

  • Fluent in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, report generation, data mining, etc…)

  • AS9100 and/or ISO9001 knowledge, ability to coordinate and perform audits to standards

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or equivalent

  • Working experience on CMM equipment

  • Certifications – IPC J-STD-001 Electronic soldering, NASA 8739.1 Conformal Coat, 8739.4 Crimping
