This level I Expediter position will support a variety of IAS Purchasing Agents and Programs to ensure suppliers are meeting their Contractual Delivery Dates. The selected candidate will be the focal liaison to ensure delivery information is disseminated in a timely manner and any slipped delivery schedule is promptly addressed with recovery plans identified. Timely updates to the system will be required to ensure accurate delivery dates are being tracked. Advise Management and other team members of market conditions and supply base activity, which could affect pricing and or future availability. Generate effective communications, good relations, and positive image with suppliers and coworkers, promoting courtesy, objectivity, and fairness in all business dealings.Will assist in coordinating with other Procurement staff, Planning team. Suppliers, Receiving and QA to identify and resolvematerial discrepancies identified at incoming receiving/inspection - i.e. lack of documentation and/or inconsistencies inprovided documentation and non conforming material. Great opportunity for this position to get involved with requesting Quotes from Suppliers and potentially placing some smaller dollar PO's for experience and exposure which could ultimately lead to a Buying position.   • Follow up and Expediting of Purchase Orders
  • Work closely with Receiving on discrepant shipments
  • Be the liason between the buyer, Supplier, Program and Operations teams


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 0-2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education


  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with other departments.
  • Background in Government Contracting, knowledge of FAR/DFARS, supply chain support.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $52,118.00 - $71,662.25. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
