As a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst II, you will be using your skills to prepare, develop, and coordinate our integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet our program objectives and ensure major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across the enterprise. You'll expected to be tracking plans and schedules, performing risk analysis, identifying and resolving critical path and network logic conflicts utilizing Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques. You'll evaluate the level of schedule compliance and identify reasons for completion shortfalls.
The Space Systems business area, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin and Durham, North Carolina, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations. Responsible for the day-to-day tactical duties for assigned function group
Oversees and coordinates the administrative/operational aspects of the program execution schedule within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer
Serves as liaison between project managers, functional managers, and the project team
Reviews status of projects and assists with risk analysis and mitigation plans, “what-if” scenarios
Manages the program execution schedule (PES) from the development through the weekly update process to generation of reports
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives
Monitors project progress and assists in problem solving with project managers, functional managers, the project team and customers
Provides the coordination between directorate leads and the CRS2 scheduling team to ensure all necessary reviews and approvals are received and input
May conduct performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other projects, missions, and programs
Handle multiple functional groups at one time and must be able to prioritize tasks, integrate data, and be focused on achieving mission results
Interface with various teams and must able to coordinate schedule reviews and updates
Coordinate routine program execution schedule (PES) meetings with Program & Operations Management and Customer Representatives
A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related field and 3 years or more of related work experience.
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience; Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Experience in Microsoft Project Professional
An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance required or has the ability to obtain one Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

Understanding of Mil Standard 881
Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
Understanding and application of Critical Path Analysis and Schedule Risk Analysis
Understanding of and application of Schedule Performance and Heath Metric Analysis
Knowledge of engineering design and life cycle concepts
Knowledgeable of how to assemble and build an Integrated master Schedule (IMS)
Understanding of Event versus Product based schedules,
Understanding of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development
Understanding of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development
Experience in the development and maintenance of resource loaded integrated master schedules to include detailed schedule analysis, rolling wave planning, health assessments, schedule risk assessments, and critical/driving path analysis
Experience in facilitation of resource leveling; validation of remaining work; identification and resolution of critical path conflicts; analysis of impacts to schedule of any proposed changes
Ability to work across multiple software systems and comprehend system relationships
Ability to develop and conduct relevant stakeholder learning sessions.
Foundational understanding of Program Management processes
Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures
Knowledge of Cobra a plus
