Overview Performs a wide variety of professional Quality Assurance (QA) engineering technical work which requires extensive application of Quality Assurance Engineering principles and concepts in support of the Cobham Semi-Conductor and Space Solutions (SCSS) QA functions. Participate in customer Program Reviews, discussions and presentation. Demonstrate capability to meet customer needs and assures customer that Quality interests are maintained. Resolve contract interpretations early into the Program. Develop new and or improved processes through the application of theoretical and practical engineering. Provide direction, mentorship and resources to other engineering groups and project leaders as well as factory technicians. Act as lead engineer on a variety of projects and participates in the project planning of major sub-projects. Compile data and makes recommendations for product or process design changes. Provide quality engineering support to analyze the returned product. Perform quality audits to determine the effectiveness of the quality program and prepares audit reports. Be driven by results. Fully supports team decision, even if he/she disagrees with the decision. Able to breakdown complex issues into simplified task. Set priority and manage time wisely, capable of identifying the critical issues from the trivial issues. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Engineering and 3+ years of experience in Quality (in lieu of a degree 4-6 years of related experience can be considered) or Manufacturing Engineering Candidates with a Masters degree in Engineering will be considered with 1 or more years of experience in Engineering role with experience in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering 2+ years of experience working with Quality Management Systems like ISO 9001/AS 9100 Knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and Mil-Prf-38534 standards Preferred Qualifications: 5 years experience in Quality Engineering, Test, Inspection, and Manufacturing of sophisticated electronic or electromechanical products. Experience working in a defense contractor, aerospace or the military Sets priority and manages time wisely, capable of identifying the critical issues from the trivial issues. Knowledge of Quality concepts (e.g. CAPA, Audits, ). Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt Certification MS, CQE, or CRE preferred Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
