Provide operational services and support to the Gainesville site ensuring effective tools and resources to meet the organizational needs &/or requirements of all business partners (Manufacturing; Research & Development; Finance; Supply Chain; Business Operations) while actively supporting employee, community, and governmental relations.

Duties & Responsibilities\:

  • Provide daily leadership & management of the Gainesville Site Security staff.

  • Provide daily leadership & management Office Services, Catering Services, Landscaping & Grounds, Garment Program, Housekeeping, Pest Control, and Shredding services to meet the operational requirements of a multi-building campus.

  • Provide Management of the site related projects (expense, capital, strategic) portfolio.

  • Develop & manage Site Services budget and related contractual agreements ($3 million annually).

  • Develop, communicate, and manage site related policies & procedures.

  • Act as Site Communications representative/liaison for local (site & community) and corporate (regional & global) communications, including management of site intranet page.

  • Responsible for Employee & Government/Community Relations.

  • Responsible for office space planning and ensuring all work environments are satisfactory.

  • Function as a member of the Crisis Management Team.

  • Demonstrate a visible & tangible commitment to EHS, Lean Principles, and the Boehringer Ingelheim Values in all work related activities.

  • In addition to the above, other assigned duties & projects deemed appropriate within the position scope.


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution plus five to ten (5-10) years of experience with a finance or management emphasis.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization & community

  • Computer proficiency in all Microsoft office programs

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services; this includes good understanding of customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Good understanding of best documentation practices and safe work practices.

  • Knowledge of finance and management processes.


Eligibility Requirements\:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
