Responsibilities

We are looking for a Military Intelligence Analyst in McLean, Virginia, to join our team to support ongoing research focused on Order of Battle for conventional and strategic military forces.

The Military Analyst will successfully identify, gather and assess all-source information in order to determine the disposition, location, and all-encompassing information for insurgent and violent events. Core functions include:

  • Conduct research and evaluate technical and all-source intelligence with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to networked weapons platforms and US and DoD information networks. Analyze network events to determine the impact on current operations and conduct all-source research to determine advisory capability and intent.
  • Prepare assessments and cyber threat profiles of current events based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of classified and open source information. Correlate threat data from various sources.
  • Develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operations.
  • Collect data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes. Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and network operations officials.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR a Masters degree; An additional 5 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement
  • Proven military-related research and analysis experience with country- and regional-specific conventional and strategic military forces
  • Searching classified and unclassified literature for ground, naval, and air forces information
  • Knowledge and/or expertise in AOR (Area of Responsibility)
  • Prior working experience in military intelligence or Order of Battle
  • An Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph security clearance

Preferred Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in military history, political science, international relations, security studies, intelligence analysis, or other related discipline and five (5) years of experience in military intelligence issues
  • Advanced expertise and ability to construct OB on conventional and strategic military forces
  • Familiarity with information management systems used by the customer and IC, including but not limited to NGT, googleEarth etc.
  • Familiarity with IC Gazetteers
  • Familiarity with constructing and maintaining an OB and with conducting analysis of military forces and operations
  • Knowledge of order-of-battle systems, processes, status, and procedures
  • Ability to use various presentation formats such as maps, charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and other reports to display results of analysis
  • Ability to update and manipulate data using Microsoft office products
  • Proficient in working with and updating web-based database systems
