Peraton is seeking a Fraud Investigator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate shall develop and implement technical or analytical applications to transform raw data to meaningful information to detect fraudulent activities or quality issues using data oriented programming language and visualization software. This position has On-Site and Remote opportunities available.

We help multiple Federal Agencies through a comprehensive technology approach to identify, react to, and stop attempts at fraud, waste and abuse. We ensure that our technology solutions enforce policy and possess the agility to readily adjust to changing environments. Peraton helps agencies create custom technology solutions that incorporate advanced analytics, data science, and case management tools.

The opening is representative of both current and future needs and is being used to identify candidates with skills and experience within Peratons Global Health and Financial Solutions Sector. Candidates who express an interest may be considered for similar roles.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform work independently with minimum supervision and direction.
  • Contribute and work as part of a team as there may be times when the investigator needs to work with state and/or federal investigators and other personnel.
  • Must be flexible and organized as the selected individual may handle multiple caseload assignments concurrently; categorizes and analyzes complex evidentiary patterns; interviews and obtains statements from witnesses and others.
  • May be required to complete complex investigative reports that apply regulations or rules to the program(s) affected by the behavior being investigated. There may also be times when the investigator will need to apply federal or state laws.
  • Research and understand the relevant offenses being investigated; conduct efficient and effective investigations concerning those alleged offenses and detect or verify suspected violations; obtain information and evidence by observation, record examination, and interview.
  • Must be flexible, as in certain situations there may be times when investigators need to react to unplanned situations, be flexible in planning their activities and adopt effective courses of action.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 5 years of investigative or analytical experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in reviewing claims for technical requirements, performing
  • Must have Strong interpersonal, analytical, research, and organizational skills.
  • Must have Strong PC knowledge and skills
  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills required.
  • Must be a hold US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Perferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Previous experience with Medical Billing/Coding/Terminology.

Colorado Salary Minimum: $51,251.20
Colorado Salary Maximum:$109,574.40
