Responsibilities
The chosen candidate will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team developing analytical and decision support applications to support PRAC. The candidate will be part of a scrum team in different geographical locations. He/She needs to be a strong collaborator and a team player to meet the project schedule. He/She will follow the agile methodology for developing the various capabilities and actively participate in sprint and system demos. The candidate should expect to wear multiple hats, take ownership of the solution and be able to adapt quickly to changing business priorities. Additional roles and responsibilities include the following:
Manage various data files in applicable formats and manipulate data for analytics
Recommend and develop analytic rules and models using leading edge fraud analytic tools and best practices.
Analyze and profile data to model relationships
Develop mock data to support developer testing
Using statistical methodology in developing and refining predictive models that can be predictable and verifiable
Generate reports to document model accuracy and providing outcomes of datasets
Work with team and customers to refine and fine tune models
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree in a related technical field and a minimum of two years of hands-on experience developing Machine Learning models using the latest analytic tools and best practices to detect and prevent fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement
Highly motivated with a strong passion for problem solving and innovation and the ability to provide recommend analytics solutions to detect fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement
Two or more years of hands-on working experience developing regression, classification, and other statistical models to identify anomalies, patterns, and predictive variables.
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
At least two years of hands-on experience creating rule-based statistical models using SAS and SQL
Two or more years of hands-on experience coding rules and models using open-source programming techniques and tools, including R and/or Python.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and leadership skills
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder and should be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Azure tool suite (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure ML)
Experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI and/or Datawalk
At least 2 years of experience writing with SQL
Extensive experience with big data analytics
Demonstrated excellent analytical and research skills
Previous work in an Agile Environment
Prior experience supporting a federal government agency

Colorado Salary Maximum:$135,324.80
