Calling all those with a heart for care! We’re seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
Whether you have previous PTA experience or are just beginning your journey, we welcome candidates who bring empathy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Experience is a plus—but not required.
In a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting, PTAs play a vital role in supporting residents through their rehabilitation journeys. You’ll be a guiding hand, a trusted support, and an essential part of our caregiving community. From assisting with therapeutic exercises to promoting mobility and independence, your daily work will have a lasting and meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
Assist residents with mobility training, gait training, transfers, and strengthening exercises
Implement individualized therapy treatment plans according to resident needs
Monitor resident progress and document outcomes accurately and timely
Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding therapeutic activities and home exercise programs
Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment, ensuring equipment is used appropriately
Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy teams, and interdisciplinary teams to support overall care plans
Encourage resident participation and promote independence in daily functional activities
Qualifications for a Skilled Nursing Facility
Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current PTA certification or license in the state of Florida
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elderly or rehabilitating residents
Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, and other care team members
Compassionate, patient‑centered approach to care
Basic understanding of rehabilitation principles and SNF regulatory guidelines (preferred)
Ability to lift, support, and assist residents safely during mobility and therapeutic activities
