About the Job


Overview

Overlook Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a Per Diem Patient Care Technicianfor Cardiac Telemetry. Theshift is 7pm-7:30am including every third weekend and as needed by department.



Responsibilities
  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living

  • Obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights

  • Assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities

  • Performing post mortem care; measuring and recording I & O; performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring

  • Observing and reporting changes in patients condition to the RN

  • Maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of Healthcare Provider Course within six months required
  • 6 months prior healthcare experience with patient care experience preferred
  • BLS preferred; required within 3 months of hire
