Pall Corporation is seeking an EHS Manager. The EHS Manager will be working with the Pall Hauppauge Site Operations team to develop and deploy Environmental Health & Safety programs & policies to mitigate risk, drive regulatory compliance and promote a positive EHS culture. Lead implementation of Danaher Business System (DBS) and compliance driven EHS programs and systems across site value streams and region to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Pall Life Sciences policies.
What you'll do
Drive DBS rigor and execution to EHS objectives & KPI metrics.
Lead programs to improve EHS performance in site and Pall EHS strategic objectives.
Evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks and develop appropriate corrective-action plans and budgets to address deficiencies in comparison to regulations and internal policy/protocol.
Provide EHS guidance and compliance support to site EHS managers in addressing government inquiries, violations and to ensure compliance with regulatory and program requirements.
Lead EHS compliance and program audits of manufacturing sites and service operations. Provide follow-up and support post governance/business audit to ensure execution to action plan, risk mitigation & program improvements
Provide mentorship and professional development of our EHS Resources; ensure retention of key talent
Drive active EHS engagement & management of change for site strategy related to new product introductions, new process development, product transfers, technology transfers, etc.
Keep site leadership team and Pall Global EHS informed of progress and significant developments on key projects.
Who you are
BS or BA in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, or related field.
5 + years of demonstrated ability leading environmental and safety compliance programs in a manufacturing environment; preferable life sciences, medical, biotech, and/or pharmaceutical industries.
Excellent communications skills, including writing and speaking
Ability to organize, empower and lead teams, drive change and interact cross functionally. Ability to lead multiple diverse priorities effectively
Demonstrated experience with H&S regulations and program management
Working knowledge of gamma irradiation / sterilization systems
Knowledge of US Federal and New York EHS regulations and programs.
Experience using LEAN/Six Sigma/Toyota Production system concepts to drive programs and achieve results, and continual improvement.
EHS Compliance experience with demonstrated capability of learning requirements and applying this experience internationally.
Experience as leader or partner driving sustainability and/or energy/utility and waste reduction initiatives.
Communicate within all levels of the site organization around EHS concepts
Mentoring and coaching, ability to empower & inspire others
Ability to make decisions, even when under pressure & take ownership for assigned projects and programs
Solid understanding of Gensuite (or equivalent) EHS data management system
