Responsibilities
The Sr Consultant, Process Excellence will partner with select business areas; as required to deliver against targeted goals by providing continuous improvement transformation expertise (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, value stream mapping, standard work, coaching and development).The incumbent will be the subject matter expert in process, change management, and continuous improvement.The Sr Consultant, Process Excellence will be responsible for creating cross-functional relationships to ensure proper documentation and effective execution of improvement activity. This individual will work closely with corporate business partners and functional teams to support initiatives and facilitate adoption of process improvement solutions to include development of training and support of training classes and activities to support expected execution.
- Plan, lead and manage Merchandising process improvement efforts, using existing process improvement methodologies, expertise, and disciplines, and creating new methodologies (where appropriate) to achieve business goals.
- Identify and Support strategic and tactical execution of continuous improvement activity in support of improved performance for Merchandising processes.
- Develop robust work plans, track activity completion, identify and raise issues as well as effectively remove roadblocks.
- Create process maps - current/future - with insights from cross-functional team members, identify accountabilities then use this data to make recommendations to improve processes.
- Meet with key stakeholders and other senior leaders to identify and assess process problems and/or opportunities and determine process improvement solutions.
- Provide on time accurate status reports designed to track milestones, raise risks/issues, as well as provide transparency.
- Facilitate cross functional meetings (internal and external), with various levels of the organization, designed to gain alignment and ensure consistent understanding.
- Gain alignment of process improvements from leadership and create training materials to be used within the organization either by conducting the training themselves and/or providing a train the trainer session.
- Create process repository with up-to-date processes and ensure they are updated on an as needed basis.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum five years’ experience and/or training
- LEAN, Six Sigma certifications or related process methodologies, PMP Certification strongly preferred;
Other Information
- Area of study in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration, Project Management
- Experience in Sales Operations, Sales Management, preferably in Retail.
- Project Management experience.
- Process and Continuous Improvement experience with a track record of implementing results on complex problems/projects
- Demonstrated positive energy to promote employee engagement and drive results
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization, influence leaders to change / adopt change, build trust and credibility quickly
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills:; Must be able to professionally represent and guide functional business units through the complete project lifecycle
- Demonstrated facilitation, problem solving and analytical skills
- Motivated self-starter and team player
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage work direction across a multitude of divisions and levels within the organization
- Must be able to take a business issue/opportunity and develop appropriate approaches
