The Leon H. Charney Division of Cardiology at New York University School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in cardiovascular sciences. Outstanding candidates at all academic ranks will be considered. The successful candidate will be housed in the state-of-the-art new Science Building, and is expected to create a fundamental and/or translational cardiovascular research program. Programs with relevance to human cardiovascular disease pathogenesis or therapeutics are of particular interest. Current strengths in the Division include cardiac electrophysiology and arrhythmias, cardiovascular development and stem cells, non-coding RNAs in inflammation and immunometabolism, and the pathways that underlie the progression and regression of atherosclerosis. Opportunities for interactions across the University and within NYC include the Institute for Computational Medicine, Institute for Systems Genetics, the Center for Human Genetics and Genomics, the Applied Bioinformatics Laboratory, the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, and the New York Genome Center.
