About the Job
The Perlmutter Cancer Center, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center, and NYU Langone Health have received a large philanthropic donation to establish a Center for Blood Cancers, and seeks a Center Director. Perlmutter Cancer Center has nationally recognized programs in lymphoma, leukemia, and autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplant, and recent recruitments have enabled the development of a world class myeloma program. The Director of the Center for Blood Cancers will be responsible for advancing the clinical and basic science research portfolio in these disease areas and conducting and promoting translational research and/or clinical trials.
We seek an energetic leader who can develop the Center for Blood Cancers into a leading academic and clinical center with a national reputation for clinical and research excellence and innovation. The successful candidate should have strong managerial and leadership skills, academic clinical/research expertise in one or more hematologic malignancies, and a track record of productivity and research. Applications will be accepted from both laboratory-based and translational clinical researchers.
The successful candidate must have an MD or MD/PhD degree, and be eligible for appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank.
