Job Summary and Qualifications
The Division Director of Quality will be responsible in supporting the Division Vice President of Quality in managing and coordinating HCA Healthcare’s North Carolina Quality and Patient Safety initiatives along with, Infection Prevention, and Risk Management, in order to support the division strategic plan and goals, and meet HCA quality objectives and standards.
In this regard, s/he will have responsibility for assisting in the facilitation and coordination of activities in: 1) Clinical excellence and patient safety;
- Clinical excellence and patient safety;
- Process improvement and outcomes management; and
- Regulatory readiness.
- Coordinates his/her work closely with the HCA Clinical Services Group, the Division Chief Medical Officer, the Division VP of Performance Improvement, and other division and facility leaders. Responsible for ensuring facility compliance with The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation, licensure and other standards, rules and regulations.
What qualifications you will need:
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree in a related field
Required License/Certification(s):
- RN
- CPHQ or CPPS within one (1) years of hire
Required Experience: At least three years of relevant management experience, with specific emphasis in: continuous improvement, customer service, systems analysis, group leadership and facilitation, interpersonal communication, and team building.
Needed Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Previous experience within a multi-facility environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
- Strong leadership, creativity, and excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to tailor the message to individuals and audiences across the organization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management, clinical and IT&S staff.
- Demonstrated track record as a valued member of the team.
- Initiative and ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to facilitate group and team process improvement.
- Ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
