Converse, Inc., Boston, MA. Participates in research and development of Converse apparel while conforming to company standards. Performs market research, and summarizes insights for presentation to stakeholders. Interprets consumer and customer needs and competitive trends, assesses requirements and identifies solutions to non-standard requests. Impact a range of standard and non-standard customer, operational, process, project or service activities. Proposes and drafts the line plan and product briefs for a complete global product line to optimize productivity, margin and revenue. Executes action plans for regional gaps in line plan. Assists with the product creation process, including design and costing reviews and approvals. Facilitates regular cross-functional meetings to advance product commercialization and resolve issues. Responsible for timely data entry and maintenance of the product management system of record to ensure accurate product information flows downstream to geo and sales systems. Acts as the proprietor of product analysis and historical information. Creates presentations to sell in product. Represents team at key product creation meetings. Monitors and controls costs of own work and may manage cost for small projects or programs. Performs work in support of brand plans, demonstrates link between daily work and company mission, and participates in initiatives, programs, or products with moderate visibility.
Applicant must have a Master's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Engineering, or Marketing and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience must include:
1. FLEX Product Management Tool;
2. Tableau or similar software;
3. Apple Keynote;
5. Information gathering and information retrieval;
6. Sales planning or sales support;
7. Project management;
8. Product strategy, product management, or program management;
9. Operations planning, supply chain management, sales planning, and market analysis;
10. Financial analysis, financial modeling, or financial operations projects;
11. Presentation of financial data to relevant shareholders, such as senior management;
12. Web research on product, fashion, and consumer trends;
13. Sales Data Analytics;
14. Translation of Consumer, Sales, and Marketplace Insights into strategy;
15. Strategic visioning and line planning to achieve financial targets; and
16. Pan-European sales, marketplace, and merchandising experience.
