Systems Support Specialist Job Details

As a Systems Support Specialist you will be the first point of contact for staff members with technical support issues. Individuals in this position must be organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while prioritizing work based on how busy the department is. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical as you will be working with multiple departments/teams with varying degrees of technical experience. The goal of the Systems Support Specialist is to help keep staff working with minimal IT related problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Completing, organizing, and escalating support tickets as needed
  • Support for both in office and remote staff over the phone
  • Troubleshooting of end-user hardware and software problems such as
    • Windows 10 & Mac OS
    • Full Microsoft Office suite
    • Basic Active Directory Management
    • Office 365
    • Basic IP Phone
    • Custom call center
    • Custom CRM
    • Basic Salesforce
    • Mac and PC imaging
    • Working with vendors on warranty repairs and replacements
    • Documenting fixes and end user guides


Requirements:

  • 4-Year degree in Technology related field or 2+ years relevant work experience
  • Previous experience in a support or helpdesk environment and using a ticketing system
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office in a corporate environment
  • Self-motivated with ability to independently prioritize and complete tasks
  • Highly organized with excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs. and go up and down stairs on a consistent basis
  • Passion for technology and computers with an eagerness to learn


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Office 365 administration experience
  • Experience with Active Directory and PowerShell
  • VOIP experience
  • Knowledge of call center software functionality
  • Mac OS experience in a corporate environment
